The modern lifestyle with its tensions and competitions is taking a terrible toll on the health of individuals. Hectic schedules mean less time for cooking and more consumption of ready-made and junk food. Most junk foods contain many flavor-enhancing chemicals, notably Monosodium Glutamate. Junk foods hardly contain any fibers. All these lead to an increase in free radicals which has been indicted as the major cause of cell damage and carcinoma. With increasing age, the levels of toxins in our body also increase. Faulty metabolism forces the body to resort to shortcuts and the consequent increase in free radicals.
